Discovering biodiversity

This area includes projects to study biodiversity through specific field investigations, the determination of biological materials and the publication of the results. W.B.A. onlus organizes scientific expeditions in the world biodiversity hot-spots with the participation of naturalists, zoologists and botanists of italian and foreign Museums and Universities.

In the first years of activity of our Association, the areas more studied have been the Central-America, the South-America and the Mediterranean basin. In these regions have been realized naturalistic expeditions that permitted to collect of a lot of biological materials and to discover hundreds of new species to Science.
